Visual Artist and Musician

Music and Art Beyond Boundaries

Tina Sue Larkin is an award-winning musician who performs on harp, fiddle and is also a singer/songwriter and composer. Her CD, Senka’s Joy, a compilation of Celtic, klezmer and original music, was chosen by Los Angeles film director R. Ian McLeod as the soundtrack for his 2007 documentary New York City Jews. Ms. Larkin is an astounding performer who possesses the ability to connect intensely with her audience. Also a professional artist, her work is included in several private collections in the US, Canada and Europe (art link). She sees a tremendous correlation between visual art and music, and is currently exploring and studying the effects of her visual/aural synesthesia, the ability to hear music when looking at artwork, and seeing color, line and shapes when listening to music . Her next CD will be in DVD format, with inspiration derived from both original art and music (traditional and recently composed). The integration of visual art with music is Ms. Larkin’s most passionate interest.
